NAU seniors K.J. Gerard and Robbie Dehaze signed rookie free-agent deals on April 27.

Gerard, NAU’s starting cornerback, signed with the Baltimore Ravens and will be competing for a spot in one of the NFL’s deepest and top-ranked defenses. Gerard was a two-time All-American at the FCS level.

“They have a really good defense,” Gerard said. “It feels good, but at the same time I just have my foot in the door. I still have to go out there and make a name for myself.”

Kicker/punter Robbie Dehaze signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Dehaze was the only player in the nation to be in the top five in both punting average and field goals per game.

“I was getting nervous, but I got what I wanted with a shot in a camp,” Dehaze said. “Now it is up to me. It is a dream.”
