Dec. 1
At 4:08 p.m., a subject reported a male had confronted her near the Babbitt Academic Annex and attempted to hug and kiss her. The incident occurred on Nov. 30 around 5:30 p.m.
An officer was dispatched, and no further information is available.
Dec. 2
At 12:50 p.m., NAU experienced a temporary power outage affecting most of the campus.
The power outage lasted approximately five minutes, and the cause is unknown at this time.
At 1:31 p.m., the staff at facilities management called to report several subjects in the Ceramics Complex who appeared to be setting fire to wooden freight pallets.
An officer was dispatched. The subjects were told to extinguish the fire, and they complied.
At 1:45 p.m., U.S. federal marshals reported arresting a suspect in a sexual assault case that occurred this past Nov. 19. The suspect had a warrant out for his arrest.
The subject was arrested and booked in Coconino County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) jail.
At 9:22 p.m., the staff at Wilson Hall called to report the odor of marijuana coming from a room on the second floor.
Officers were dispatched. Four students were deferred for the use of marijuana. Two of the students were cited for the possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
Dec. 3
At 12:19 a.m., a concerned citizen called to report a suspicious vehicle on Knoles Drive and Riordan Road that appeared to be driven by an intoxicated subject.
An officer was dispatched. The area was searched with negative contact, and the vehicle was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
At 12:46 a.m., the staff of Mountain View Hall called to report a female student who was intoxicated in the lobby.
An officer was dispatched, but the subject was gone upon arrival and could not be located.
At 12:15 p.m., a student called to report his parking permit had been stolen out of his vehicle while parked in parking lot 5. The incident occurred on an unknown date and time.
An officer was dispatched. The case is closed, and all leads are exhausted.
At 2:10 p.m., staff at the High Country Conference Center called to report a wireless microphone had been stolen. The theft occurred on Oct. 4 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
An officer was dispatched. The case is closed, and all leads are exhausted.
Dec. 4
At 2:40 a.m., a student called the department to report he had been assaulted outside of Taylor Hall.
An officer was dispatched, and the report was unfounded. The reporting party was cited for minor consumption and released.
At 2:32 p.m., a student reported his backpack had been stolen from the University Union. The theft occurred on Dec. 3 between 3:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
An officer was dispatched. No other information is available.
At 4:59 p.m., Flagstaff Police Department (FPD) reported a theft in progress at Five Points Mobile gas station. The subjects were last seen headed east on Butler Avenue.
Officers were dispatched. The area was searched with negative contact.
At 6:07 p.m., FPD reported a female was choking at the Drury Inn.
Officers were dispatched. The subject refused medical treatment, and everything was fine.
At 6:37 p.m., the staff at Wilson Hall called to report the odor of marijuana coming from a room on the second floor.
Officers were dispatched. Wilson Hall staff are handling the situation internally.
At 8:57 p.m., staff at Wilson Hall called to report the odor of marijuana coming from a room on the first floor.
Officers were dispatched. Two students were arrested and booked into the CCSO jail for possession and use of marijuana.
At 11:40 p.m., a student called to report an ongoing noise disturbance coming from parking lot 28C next to Mountain View Hall.
She was advised NAUPD would conduct another patrol later and was asked to call back if another incident occurred.
At 11:48 p.m., a subject called to report he had been robbed on the grassy area north of the Engineering and Technology building by an unknown male subject wielding a knife.
Officers were dispatched. The victim was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC). The suspect has yet to have been found, and the case is still open.
Dec. 5
At 4:01 p.m., a staff member at the Walkup Skydome reported two juveniles riding bikes on the playing field with their dog.
Officers were dispatched and made contact with the juveniles, who were told they were not allowed in the building and were therefore trespassing. The juveniles were identified and complied with the officers’ request to leave.
At 9:47 p.m., an officer reported students drinking alcohol in Gillenwater Hall. One student was cited for minor consumption and released.
