Feb. 26
At 2:08 a.m., an officer from NAU Police Department (NAUPD) initiated a traffic stop at the Conoco gas station on Butler Avenue.
Two officers were dispatched to the scene. One subject received a citation for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent, minor driving under the influence, failure to drive in one lane and failure to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle was towed for a mandatory 30-day impound.

Feb. 27
At 8:11 p.m., McConnell Hall staff called to report the odor of marijuana coming from a residence.
Two officers were dispatched to the scene. They noted the strong odor of marijuana as they approached the doorway of the residence. The officers knocked on the door, and a female subject answered to give them permission to enter the room. The officers noted three females, a male and a strong odor of marijuana inside the room.
The resident told the officers they were watching television. The officers proceeded to ask what else they had been doing in the room. The female subject said they had been smoking marijuana. The officers noted multiple marijuana pipes on top of the refrigerator and a bag containing a green leafy substance on a table.
The officers asked who had been smoking marijuana, and one female said she had not been smoking. The resident of the room told the officers the statement was true.
No one would admit to ownership of the marijuana. The remaining subjects received citations for the use of marijuana. One of the female subjects received an additional citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on their promise to appear in court.
The case is closed.
At 9:33 p.m., Sechrist Hall staff called to report the odor of marijuana coming from a residence.
An officer was dispatched to the scene. No one answered the door of the residence.
No further action has been taken.

Feb. 28
At 2:37 a.m., Reilly Hall staff called to report an unresponsive resident who was in a third floor hallway.
An officer from NAUPD, firefighters from Flagstaff Fire Department and medics from Guardian Medical were dispatched to the scene. The student was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for evaluation.
No further information is available at this time.
At 3:54 p.m., an officer observed a subject with an open bottle of beer in the grassy area by the Geology building.
The officer parked his vehicle and continued to observe the subject drink from the bottle of beer. The officer approached the subject and identified him as a 41-year-old male. The subject put the cap on the bottle of beer as the officer spoke to him.
The officer issued the subject a citation for public consumption and released him on his promise to appear in court.
