Sept. 28
At approximately 1:15 a.m., NAUPD was dispatched to Sechrist Hall in response to a female in need of medical attention.
According to the report, two females inside the room were assisting a third female who was lying on the bed in a fetal position. The officer was unable to determine if she was breathing or not and did not receive coherent responses from the victim. The two females reported the victim was intoxicated and was in the condition because of the high altitude.
The victim was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment and received a citation for underage alcohol consumption.
Sept. 27
NAUPD was dispatched to the University Union at approximately 12 a.m. in reference to a report of three subjects inside a female restroom stall. According to the report, the unidentified caller reported a suspicious odor and was concerned for the occupants of the stall. The officer allegedly smelled a very strong odor of vomit and observed three occupants inside the restroom.
Two of the three identified they were assisting a friend who was ill and said the situation was under control. According to the report, the victim was incapable of standing stationary without swaying and had slurred speech, vomit on her clothes, a runny nose, bloodshot eyes and saturated clothing around her groin. Upon questioning, the victim misidentified the day and was unable to correctly acknowledge where she was. According to the report, the victim admitted to drinking excessive quantities of vodka and Coke and to being 19 years old.
Upon the arrival of medical services, the victim refused transport and was provided no further medical treatment, but was cited for underage alcohol consumption.
Sept. 26
NAUPD was dispatched to University Drive in reference to an auto burglary at approximately 6:15 p.m. The victim stated he returned to his Jeep and three of his tires had been punctured to let the air out of them; in addition to 60 CDs, the vehicle speakers and his parking permit were stolen. According to the report, there were scratches on the driver’s side door.
The estimated costs of damages and theft accumulated to $1,750. The victim was issued a Victim’s Rights Waiver and stated he is willing to pursue charges in this case.
At approximately 10 p.m., NAUPD was dispatched to the south Mountain View Hall service drive for a report that a female had injured her knee on a bus. The Flagstaff Fire Department and Guardian Medical Transport were also dispatched to assist. According to the report, when the bus was transporting a group from Mountain View Hall to the Mad Italian Bar, the victim was changing seats and dislocated her knee. The victim allegedly has a medical history of knee problems. The victim was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
Sept. 24
An NAUPD officer was dispatched to a parking lot on campus at approximately 10:30 p.m. in reference to criminal damage done to a vehicle. According to the report, the victim parked her car at approximately 4:00 p.m. and observed there was no damage. When she returned, she discovered the damage on the passenger’s side door, allegedly done with a key or sharp object.
The victim was issued a Victim’s Rights Waiver and wished to pursue the matter criminally. There are no suspects or leads in this case at this time.
