Blog: Snow and sun make a great combination
BLOG BY SIERRA GADBERRY —
It is no secret that the weather in Flagstaff is bipolar. One minute it’s snowing, then the next thing you know the forecast is calling for mid 60s.
Great news: this means that the huge snow storm that brought in more than a foot is melting—just in time for spring break! The warm weather will keep students anxiously awaiting their vacations for this last week of school.
On the other side the storm also brought in some great snow to ski or snowboard on. The back bowl looks amazing with the fresh snow covering the bare spots that were there only days ago at Snowbowl. Get there fast because the sunny skies and powder hungry locals are eating it up.
Whether you plan to soak up the sun lying on a campus lawn or up at the mountain there are many ways to take advantage of this great weather.
