The late Kurt Cobain (of Nirvana fame) once said The Vaselines were his “most favorite songwriters in the whole world.” Forming in 1986, in which they released one album and a couple EPs, The Vaselines essentially created the indie pop music genre. Unfortunately, the band decided to call is quits in 1990 — just when their music started to take off.
