By trying so hard to stay true to the book, New Moon fails to make a cohesive story on its own. But hey, it’s better than Twilight, but even that isn’t saying much.

Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) have stepped up their acting from the first film, but the supporting cast outshines them.

Maybe the cast doesn’t have much to work with, but with all their whining and painful-to-watch lip-locking, Stewart and Pattinson just aren’t believable. Rather, they’re overdramatic and laughable.

The film opens with a dream sequence, but the scene’s importance is never explained; the movie seems to start all over again once Bella wakes up. Then it crawls along slowly for nearly two and a half hours, only picking up in the last 10 minutes when Bella has to actually do something more than scream in her pillow.

If you’ve read the books, you probably already stood in line for the midnight showing, and you thought it was the best movie ever. If you read better books instead, you’ll save yourself the confusion, and the $7.50.

i have to agree with you on this. i have read the books and loved them but so far the films have not met my expections, in fact they were nowhere close.

Now more than ever i question the casting of stewart and pattinson, esp when the rest of the cast do a better job in their respective roles. The tin man like acting of its leading lady and man cheapens the film no end.

I was sitting in the cinema wondering if the wolf scenes would redeem this film, and when the first sighting of the weres came…………. the whole cinema burst out laughing. I am pretty sure that was NOT the reaction they were looking for.

All in all if you are a fan of the books and still wanna see this file wait for the dvd and rent it… dont buy it….
